Day Camp - June 14 - 18, 2010

Our Tigers and Wolves will attend daycamp at Bear Creek - just south of Connersville. Bears and Webelos may also attend.
Camp starts at 9:00 and ends at 4:00 Monday through Thursday.
On Friday, camp starts at 1:00 and families are invited to camp-out.
The scouts will be busy every day. They will swim, raft, shoot BBs, archery, games, crafts, and more.

Fees:
We have already turned in our $$ - late registrants should pay at Scout Office.
Tag-a-longs: $7 per day - pay each morning at camp.

What to bring: sack lunch, water bottle, swimsuit and towel, sunscreen, hat, ??
The trading post is open daily at lunch and after camp. Pop, water, chips, candy, toys and t-shirts may be purchased.

Webelos Adventure Camp - Session 11 - July 14 - 17, 2010

Our Bears and Webelos will attend Webelos Adventure Camp - West of Pendleton.

Webelos Adventure Camp is four days and three nights of outdoor camping, learning and fun. Boys will swim, canoe, visit the fort (and get wet), enjoy the obstacle course, shoot BBs and archery, learn about nature and scouting, and more. Boys will earn several Webelos activity pins at camp.

Camp starts on Wednesday afternoon - usually at 2:00 and ends Saturday morning after breakfast. All campers sleep in two-person canvas tents with cots. Meals are provided. This camp is a lot of fun! Talk to Ann B. or Christy H. for more info.

Adults (overnight): $60
Adults (day only): $25 per day

Tag-a-longs are NOT permitted at Webelos Adventure Camp.

Webelos Adventure Camp Information


What to Bring:
· Complete Webelos uniform
· Clothes for at least four days and extra socks.
· Jacket, sweater or sweatshirt. Rain gear.
· Swimsuit (worn to camp) and towel.
· Athletic shoes or comfortable hiking boots, and one pair of shoes that can get wet and be worn in the water for canoeing.
· No open toe shoes, no flip-flops, etc.
· Plastic bags for wet clothing to travel home.
· Backpack or duffel bag that can be easily carried to campsite.
· Canteen or water bottle.
· Sleeping bag or blankets and sheet, and a small pillow.
· Toilet kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, comb, etc.).
· Notebook, pencil, pen.
· Suntan lotion and non-aerosol insect repellent (with DEET).
· Flashlight with extra bulbs and batteries.
· Spending money for souvenirs & snacks at the Trading Post
· Work gloves for 2nd year Webelos.
· Prescription medication in its original container.
· A photocopy of your insurance card.

Do NOT Bring:

· Electronic games, radios, or cell phones
· Tag-a-longs or pets.
· Skateboards
· Guns, Knives of any kind, or Archery items
· Candles or fireworks
· Expensive cameras
· Valuables of any kind

Camp Kikthawenund is located north east of Pendleton.
Take 38 West to Pendleton,
Right (north) on Old IN 132 / W Main Street (at stop sign)
Follow 132 to the left just outside of town
Right (north) on 600 W
Left (west) on 500 N
About 1 1/2 miles to camp on Left

Visitors
Parents and families are always welcome at Webelos Adventure Camp.
Please register in the camp office upon arrival. The campfire held on
Friday night is the best time for visitors. (7:30—10:00 pm). If visitors are going to be in camp and desire to eat a meal, the pack’s camp leader (or other adult) can purchase a non-refundable meal ticket at the camp office at a cost of $5.00 per meal. Meal tickets are non-refundable because Webelos Adventure Camp pays for all meals prepared. Please inform the Business Manager by noon on your first full day so we can ensure there is sufficient seating and food for your guests.
LET CAMP COORDINATOR KNOW AT DROP OFF.

Mail
Parents are encouraged to send a letter or a package to their son at Webelos Adventure Camp. Because mail typically takes three days for delivery, we recommend that mail be sent a few days before the pack goes to camp. Items arriving after a Webelos departure will be returned to sender. To insure delivery, items should have the pack number and session number listed and addressed in the following manner:
